Accounts and signing in
There are three ways into your account. They are not three accounts: your account is identified by your email address, so whichever method you use, you land in the same place with the same saved screens and the same subscription.
Magic link
Section titled “Magic link”Enter your email and we send you a sign-in link. Click it and you are in — no password to choose or remember.
The link is single-use and expires. If yours has stopped working, request a fresh one rather than reusing the old email; a link that has already been clicked will not work a second time.
Email and password
Section titled “Email and password”You can set a password in Settings → Account. After that, entering your email offers a password field as well as the magic link.
A password is optional. It exists because typing one is faster than checking your inbox, not because the account needs it.
Continue with Google signs you in through Google directly. If your Google account uses the same email address you already signed up with, it resolves to your existing account rather than making a second one.
Which should I use?
Section titled “Which should I use?”Magic link if you sign in occasionally. A password if you sign in often and would rather not leave the tab. Google if that email is already your work identity.
Verifying your email
Section titled “Verifying your email”Some actions ask you to confirm your email address first. We send a confirmation message and you click the link inside it. If it has not arrived after a few minutes, check spam — verification mail is the most commonly filtered thing we send.
Signing out everywhere
Section titled “Signing out everywhere”Signing out ends the session on the browser you are using. To end sessions on other browsers or machines, revoke them from Devices.
